The former first lady, 54, candidly discusses the miscarriage in her new memoir, Becoming. She further detailed her experiences in an interview with Robin Roberts, which was teased on Good Morning America on Friday. Just days before the release of her memoir, for which she earned part of a $65 million advance in a joint book deal with her husband.
'I felt like I failed because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were because we don’t talk about them, ' she told Robin. While noting that she wanted to speak out in order to reduce the stigma surrounding miscarriages.
