The 24 - year - old model Catriona Gray representing the Philippines was the winner of Miss Universe 2018. The ceremony was held this Monday (17) - Sunday night in Brasília - in Bangkok, Thailand.
Brazilian Mayra Dias was amongst the 20 semifinalists of the contest.
The five finalists were the representatives of South Africa, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, the Philippines and Vietnam, competing for the actual finals only the representatives of the Philippines, South Africa and Venezuela. The South American was in third place. In all, 94 women participated in the 67th edition of the Miss Universe.
The winner inherits the position of the South African model Demi - Leigh Nel - Peters, who won the Miss Universe 2017.
