what is active voice

When doer or agent of a work has more prominence than work that is called active voice. In simple way ..When doer is in active position it's active voice. when Doer is not active it's passive. Ex : Rama killed Ravana . (AV) agent is important here.. But Ravana was killed by Rama. (PV) sufferer is important here.
