hi Adam The difference between ‘do’ and ‘does’ is very basic. ‘Do’ is a verb (see Auxiliary Verbs), and ‘does’ is its third person singular present tense. Thus, when the subject is represented by the pronouns ‘I’, ‘you’, ‘we’, or ‘they’, we must use ‘do’. - I do not know the way. - Do you know the way? - We do not know the way. - Do you they know the way? On the other hand, when the subject is represented by the pronouns ‘he’, ‘she’ or ‘it’, we must use ‘does’. - He does not know the way. - She does not know the way. - It does not look like the right way.

Do and does are used to ask questions.... And used in simple present tense..... Do::: I, we, you, they... Does::: he, she, it, any name(ramu, sita).... Structure Do+I/we/you/they+verb(1)+object? Does+ he/she/it+verb(1)+object? Ex... Do you speak English? Does he speak english? Note::: two present forms are not used in one scentence... Eg.... Does he goes? (wrong) . . Does he go? (correct) Does and verb with s form are not used in One scentence.

Do is used as present tense.(other than 3rd person singular). Eg:-Do they know him? Does is used as present tense with 3rd person singular. Eg:-Does she know him? Am is used in present tense with I to express the state. Eg:-I am tired. I am fine.
