![]() Past perfect is a combination of two completed actions in the past. The first happened action is in past perfect (had+v3).. and secondary action is reported in past simple (v2). Et: When I reached the railway station the train had already left. Before he asked me to see that movie I had seen it. Past simple is a tense which expresses a completed action in the past along with the time of the action. (v2) I saw him in this morning. I wrote my name on the paper two minutes ago.
