As you know my mom is not well.. will come tomorrow. Have hired one full time maid to take care of my mom and she will come from tomorrow. Apologies for my leaves. Don't wanted to take leaves but unfortunately due to bad circumstances I took it.

Don't take it personal.. Don't wanted to take leaves. (it means still you are on leave..) Unfortunately due to bad circumstances I__took__" it"..!! Still you are on leave. How could you express it in the past simple?..(it should be in present perfect) ..Leaves is plural then it's object it is singular.. How could it be right?
