To narrate a past story you need not to use past tenses every time That's a wrong notion. We can narrate a past story with out past tenses... Completely using present simple you can narrate a past story!! It's called "Historic present" Ex : Now Bheema rushes towards Bakasura. He plucks a huge tree and throws towards Bakasura. Then he cleverly escapes and grabs a huge rock and throws towards Bheema.. To give fresh feeling of listening to the audience.. It is used.
