American English is more flexible than Britain English. But British is orthodox and standard. (adhere to traditional old rules) they never try to change the spellings and pronunciation of words. Americans never bother to change the rules of the language. Ex: Schedule (shedyuul is the uk pronunciation) Americans Pronounce it 'skeduul' (they don't consider the silent letters)
