Does plural uncountable noun (eg. pair of shorts) take singular form of verb?

![]() First of all, they are not uncountable nouns. Pair means two.. So it is counted. Coming to your question.. When there is a meaning of a pair, we should not use singular verb. Ex : Scissors, tongs, trousers, pants, spectacles.. Always take 'are'
