Most of the the word 'as' is used like this example => "He works in that company 'as' a senior software engineer". But sometimes the word 'as' is used differently.. For example => "He as well as his wife came to the party".. Here in this example, 'as' is not just a single word.. It appears with 'as well as' & is used instead of the word 'And'.. Another examples are => "She felt 'as if/though' all her worries had gone", "She moved her lips 'as if/though' to smile".. Here 'as if' or 'as though' is just conjunction that is used basically to make comparison for a situation that may not be true!!.. And 'as if/though' has some grammatical rules!!.. Mind it. Again, there is an another example of 'as' is 'as well'.. And it's used instead of the word 'too'... Example => "She looks really tired & she must be hungry as well".. Hope, my answer will help you!!. Best of luck..
