what is difference between then and than? Where to use?

Then refers to the time whereas than refers to the comparison. eg for then : ----------- First me then you By then it was too late. Finish the test then stop writing. He was then the principal. I'll see you tomorrow then. eg for than : ----------- I know more than you do. Elephants are bigger than mice. I'm taller than my brother. The test was harder than last time. It costs more than I have.
