can I call 9 pm is good evening

You can say good evening if you are with him after 9 PM. If you will not meet him wholenight then better to say good night. I am not expert..anyone can correct if i am wrong.

Can I say good evening at 9:00 pm? Afternoon is from 12:01pm to 5:00 pm Evening is from 5:01pm to 8:00 pm Night is from sunset to sunrise,so from 8:01 pm until 5:59 am. So you can't say good evening at 9:00 pm.
