Loan to take money from a bank or a company While borrow means take money from anybody

Loan:-an amount of money that is given tosomeone for a period of time with apromise that it will be paid back. Borrow:- to take and use up (something) with the promise to give back something of equal value. Loan is regarding money only and you must give more amount than the money you have taken where as borrow is anything you can take and return in equal amount pen,books,money etc.
