An imperative sentence gives a command. It usually ends with a period, but it may also end with an exclamation point (!). Commands ask or tell people to do something. For example: - Give me the phone! (Here, someone is giving a command and telling a person to do something.) - Please make some tea for me. (Here, someone is asking a person to do something.)
