Why we get goosebumps when we are frighten

actually, our skin hair automatically stands up when we are cold or frightened. Our ancestors had lot of body hair,so goosebumps were not visible in them.We have less body hair, we see goosebumps because the hair follicle muscles contract due to high blood flow during cold or fright.
