why do we have goosebumps when we listen something surprising?

 Goosebumps is reflex actionof the skin caused by cold, fear, or excitement, in which small bumps appear on the surface as the hairs become erect.... Goosebumps are caused by a contraction of miniature muscles that are attached to each hair. Each contracting muscle creates a shallow depression on the skin surface, which causes the surrounding area to protrude. The contraction also causes the hair to stand up whenever the body get excited(ie feeling cold,listeninng some music)
