"Always keep your keys in your pocket " Is the word "keep" wrong here ? Should i use the word "Put" because of its permanancy ?

Here we can't use 'put'. Keep means someone has something and put shows movement, place. ex-Always keep your keys in your pocket. Always put your keys on the table.
