There is no confusion between these two words because both are absolutely different. Watches - the singular form or the fifth form of base verb "watch".It's used to frame an affirmative sentence in simple present tense when there is as a subject he, she, it, any single name, singular subject. For ex:- He watches TV in his living room. It's also the plural form of noun "watch". Ex:- These watches are really expensive and branded. Watching - the ing form or the fourth form of base verb "watch".It's used in continuous form of any sentence. Ex:- She is/was watching that movie which you watched last Monday. They have been watching this movie for three hours. It's also used as a gerund. Ex:- Watching TV is not good for health every time.
