When there are more than one subject in any sentence then we use a plural verb "were" in past. For ex:- She and I were very good friends in childhood. In conditional sentence, it can be also used "were" with she. Ex:- If she were my real sister, then I would also enjoy her company well. If these two rules don't follow that sentence then it can also be wrong. So you can report it by writing feedback.
