![]() "Figure of speech" is a speech that goes beyond the original , literal meaning in order to supply new effects or a fresh approach into an idea or a subject. ex...If a person says that he is starving , he does not mean that he is in fact "dying of hunger", but that is very hungry. The earth looks like a balloon. she looks like her father. The above two sentences are "simile" as we used word "like" I have a million things to do today. It was so cold , I saw polar bears wearing hats and jackets. In the above two sentences we exaggerated the sentences so they are "hyperbole". it
