was and were different

in all tenses to rectify the tense of a particular sentence we use helping verbs. and those helping verbs are.... am/is/are (in present tense), was/were (in past tense), will/shall (in future tense). "was" is used for singular subjects such as "I, he, she, it". "were" is used for plural subjects such as "they, we, you".

was & were both are used in past tense ... "was" is used for singular subjects (he,she,it) & "were" is used for plural subjects ( they, we) & imaginary sentences mai "I " k sath were use hota hai ..
