I am going to Mumbai next Tuesday..why we should not use "on" in this sentence.can we make sentence like " I am going to Mumbai on next tuesday.

There is no preposition can be used with next/last. . . "next Tuesday", "next week" etc you can use i am going to mumbai on Tuesday or any date . . ..

I think on is used for describing date like I am going to Mumbai on 2nd July .
