how to find out which is countable or uncountable noun

we can count books,pens,chalk etc.... these are countable we can not count Waves,clouds Stars etc ...... these are uncountable

Which noun are able to count known as countable noun. for example :- Animal, Book, House, place, Computer, etc. which noun are not able to count known as uncountable noun. For example:- Water, Star, hair, Wood, sugar, Milk, iron, gold, Copper, etc.
