Difference between tornado and cyclone

Tornado is a violent windstorm characterised by mobile, twisting, funnel-shaped cloud. Cyclone means the more or less violent, small-scale circulations such as tornadoes, waterspouts and dust devils.

A cyclone is a large, destructive storm that is comprised of strong winds rotating around a center of low pressure. A tornado is a violent storm comprised and extremly strong winds.
