I have lived in London for 7 years. It means since then to till now I have lived in London, nd may be I will live in future as well. It's a period of time. Your second sentence is incorrect. It should be like : I have been living in London since 2000. It means I'm still living for a long time and the action is continuing. It is not completed. And it indicates the point of time.
