When Jesus Christ was betrayed by his disciple. After a number of tries, the mob led by the high priest condemned Jesus and he was sentenced to be crucified. He was made to carry his own cross to the site of his execution. He was crucified and suffered on the cross for six long hours i. e. from 9 am in the morning till 3 pm. That's why Christians pray at 3 pm on Good Friday.
It is believed that an earthquake also happened at the same time when he died. After his death, his followers carried Jesus's body in secret and buried it according to the Jewish custom. Two days later, Jesus was resurrected. Good Friday is the day of mourning by the Christians.
