A major development hit the Pakistani drug industry when World Health Organisation accredited first ever Pakistani made medicine.
According to WHO, the drug 'Moxiget' (Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride) 400mg which is made by Getz Pharma Pvt Ltd in Karachi has now been included in pre - qualified products.
A detailed inspection took place and WHO released a report last week mentioning that their inspection team was satisfied with the production units, quality, sanitation, hygiene and good manufacturing practices of the pharmaceutical company's facility in Karachi.
With the drug now certified by WHO, the pharma company will now be able to export the drug anywhere in the world, especially to countries where strict measures are taken for drug testing and quality.
The company will also be able to sell this drug to world bodies like the Unicef after receiving approval from EU, U. S and other developed countries.
