As of 11 am on the last day of online application for foreign students to Delhi University courses, only two applications were received from its neighbour country Pakistan. On Monday, the varsity closed its online registration portal for foreigners. Between 2013 and 2017, a solitary student from Pakistan was given admission to the prestigious University. This year, two students from Pakistan have applied online in the varsity's portal directly.
Nepal, till the reports last came, scored first in terms of number of foreign applicants who applied in the DU portal, with 314 applicants. Another neighbouring country Tibet scored second, with 309 applications received. Afganistan was third with 108 applications received by DU on its registration portal. This was followed by Banglaadesh, from where 45 students applied for various courses in DU till 11 am on Monday. The African nation of Ethopia had 28 students applying to DU, while Nigeria had 31 students applications. From the UK, 16 students applied, and 13 were from Canada.
