What is the difference between sit down and have a seat

There are same meanings of these sentences.But in first sentence has the emotion of giving order to anyone and in second one has the emotion of requesting to anyone.

"have a seat" is used in a formal situation (e.g. guests, business meetings, parent-teacher meetings, etc) "Sit down" is used in a casual situation (e.g. telling a friend or a family member to sit down)

the main difrence of those word is that sit down you oder him but have seat is use to ypu giving respect to a person
