"Tanu Weds Manu Returns" writer Himanshu Sharma, who has bagged the National Film Award for the screenplay and dialogues in the Kangana Ranaut - starrer, is "praying" for superstar Shah Rukh Khan to come onboard for a script he is penning for Aanand L. Rai's next.
"I am writing something for Aanand sir and this script is based in India and then travels to US. I am praying Mr. Shah Rukh Khan comes on board, but that's for him and Aanand sir to decide, " Sharma told IANS.
Rai has reportedly approached SRK with this script and is waiting for his nod.
Sharma also commented on the interpretation of his scripts by Rai.
"I am a different person and would make different stuff. . . I have my own understanding. I am working as a writer and he is the director. This medium belongs to a director. . . How a director interprets what is written is up to him, " he added.
